OpenAI makes 20+ announcements at DevDay event including always-on agents called dots, watch live

OpenAI has teased 20+ announcements as part of its DevDay 2026 event. The event will be streamed live. You can see everything announced today below. We expect the major announcement to be ChatGPT’s response to SpaceXAI’s Grok Bot and Meta’s Muse, building on existing AI agent tools with broader consumer appeal. OpenAI already has similar features under the ChatGPT Work umbrella, although the presentation isn’t as simple as Muse and Grok Bot. Anyway, you can watch the livestream event at the top of the hour. It kicks off at 10 am PT/1 pm ET. Here’s the first bit of news: dots. These are always-on AI agents, a new feature inside ChatGPT. Next up is a new feature called ChatGPT Space.
