Advertising terms
These terms govern every advertisement booked in OpenAI Daily News. “We” means the paper and its publisher, Abraim Sina. “You” means the person or company making the booking. By sending the booking form with the box ticked, you accept them.
1. Rates
| Rate | Price | Run | Position | Replacements | Click report |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $50 | 2 days | In turn | None | At the end |
| Standard | $1,000 | 12 days | In turn | Two | Midpoint and end |
| Premier | $5,000 | 45 days | Before the other rates | One a week | Weekly |
- Prices are in United States dollars and buy one banner on the front page of this site.
- The front page has one advertising position. When more than one banner is running, each visit is shown one of them, and a Premier banner is shown before a Starter or Standard one.
- A day is 24 hours. A run begins when the banner appears, not when it is booked.
2. Booking and approval
- The booking form is a request and not a contract. There is a booking once we have approved your banner and its link by email and your payment has been confirmed.
- We examine each banner, and the page it opens, before it runs. We may ask for changes or decline a banner, and need not say why.
- We answer, as a rule, within two working days. A start date depends on the position being free.
3. Payment
- Payment is made in cryptocurrency, in full, before the banner appears. After approval we send the wallet address, the network and the exact sum by email.
- The sum is the dollar price converted at the rate on the day we send it. It holds for 48 hours, after which we may send a new figure.
- Network fees are yours to pay. The sum that reaches us must equal the sum we asked for.
- Send only on the network named in our email. Coins sent to a wrong address or on a wrong network cannot be recovered, and we accept no responsibility for them.
- Payment details come from us by email only, in the same exchange as your booking. If anyone asks you to pay in our name through a chat application or a social network, do not pay, and let us know.
4. The banner
- 970 by 250 pixels, in JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF, no more than 300 KB. No sound, no flashing, no imitation buttons, system warnings or countdowns.
- One link to a banner. Links are marked as sponsored and open in a new tab. A link may not pass the reader on to a site other than the one we approved.
- Every banner is shown under the word “Advertisement”.
- If your banner reaches us late, the run begins when it appears. If it reaches us more than 14 days after payment, we may treat the booking as used.
- You own, or have leave to use, everything in the banner, including marks, photographs and names.
5. What we take
- Goods and services for people who use AI in their work: developer tools, software, hosting, training, conferences and the like.
- Nothing that could be mistaken for OpenAI's own. A banner may say that a product works with ChatGPT or the OpenAI API. It may not use OpenAI's logos, nor suggest that OpenAI made, endorses or sponsors the product.
- No accounts, API keys or credits offered for resale, no means of evading usage limits or safety rules, and nothing that breaks another company's terms.
- A business that needs a licence where its banner is seen, such as a financial service or a gambling operator, must hold that licence and give us its number and the regulator's name on request.
- No claim that anything is “guaranteed” or “risk free”, no promise of riches, and no promised return on any coin, token or investment.
- No malware, phishing, sham giveaways, unregistered securities or adult material, and nothing unlawful in the place where it is shown.
6. Refunds and changes
- If we decline your banner before it appears, you owe nothing. Anything already paid goes back to the wallet it came from, less network fees.
- You may cancel before the banner appears, with the same refund.
- Once a banner has appeared the fee is not returned, even if you ask us to remove it early.
- If the site is unavailable for more than 24 hours together during your run, we add the lost time to its end. That is the sole remedy for downtime.
- We may remove a banner at once if it, or the page it opens, breaks these terms or the law, if a licence lapses, or if the page it opens is changed into something we did not approve. No refund is due in such a case.
7. What we undertake, and what we do not
- We undertake to give you the position and the number of days at the rate you chose.
- We give no undertaking as to the number of views, clicks, sign-ups or sales.
- Click counts are taken from our own records and are supplied for information.
- Advertising buys a banner. It buys no coverage, and gives you no say in what this paper prints, about you or anyone else.
8. Responsibility
- You answer for your banner, your offer and the page the banner opens, and for their being lawful wherever the banner is seen.
- If a regulator, a court or a third party brings a claim against us on account of your banner or offer, you will meet our reasonable costs.
- Our whole liability on any booking is limited to the sum you paid for it. We are not liable for lost profit or for any other indirect loss.
9. General
- We use the details in your booking only to deal with it, as set out in our privacy notice.
- These terms may be revised. The version on this page on the day your payment is confirmed is the one that applies to your booking.
- Questions about a booking should go to the desk through the contact page.
