Karmayogi Bharat and OpenAI have signed an agreement to strengthen AI skills among government employees across India. Karmayogi Bharat, a government-owned not-for-profit company, and OpenAI announced a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on October 21 to expand artificial intelligence training across India’s civil services. The collaboration will integrate learning resources from OpenAI Academy into the government’s iGOT Karmayogi platform, allowing eligible civil servants to develop practical AI skills relevant to their professional responsibilities. The initiative forms part of Mission Karmayogi’s broader objective of building a professional, well-trained and future-ready civil service. It focuses on helping government personnel understand artificial intelligence, use it responsibly and apply new capabilities to improve administrative work and public service delivery. Under the agreement, OpenAI will provide approved OpenAI Academy educational content for integration into iGOT Karmayogi.
