GPT-6 recasts chatGPT’s interface: Intelligent UI and 44% faster search responses

OpenAI has rolled out GPT-6 to ChatGPT with a new “Intelligent UI” capability that changes how responses are presented, moving the product beyond a predominantly text-based conversational interface. The update allows GPT-6 to combine text, visuals and interactive elements—including graphics, charts, forms, tappable controls and task-specific tools—based on the nature of a user’s query. The development comes alongside a push to reduce the time users spend waiting for responses. For questions requiring web search, GPT-6 Instant starts answering 44% sooner, on average, than GPT-5.6 Instant, according to OpenAI’s internal evaluation. The metric refers to the time taken to begin answering, rather than the time required to complete the response.
