You can now book a room at a Las Vegas resort via ChatGPT. Rio Hotel & Casino announced that it has launched what it calls the hospitality industry's first fully transactional experience with the generative chatbot. According to the resort, guests will be able to interact with the resort using natural conversation. This includes booking a suite, requesting housekeeping items, contacting the bell desk, and exploring resort amenities. The service is powered by Traversing.ai, an orchestration platform that also powers Rio's SMS messaging, website concierge and other guest engagement channels. "Today's travelers expect instant, personalized service wherever they choose to engage," Vince Lentini, senior vice president of marketing for the Rio, said in a statement.
