OpenAI confirms plans to build humanoid robots

Picture: Qatar Living

OpenAI is preparing to enter the field of human robotics, with the aim of expanding the uses of artificial intelligence beyond the field of software and consumer devices. The company's CEO, Sam Altman, said the biggest challenge was not designing the robot's body, but developing its "brain" capable of understanding the real world, making decisions and executing tasks accurately. During his participation in the "Sources" podcast, Altman revealed that the company intends to develop a humanoid robot, explaining that adopting a human-like design makes sense because the world is basically designed to fit humans, from doors and keyboards to tools used daily. OpenAI's plans are still in the development stages, and the company has not revealed the final design of the robot or the tasks that the prototype will perform.
