OpenAI has acquired Orchestra Bio, a platform that helps biopharma teams coordinate the complex process of drug development, OpenAI announced on October 20, 2026. OpenAI said it is bringing Orchestra’s team and technology together with Rosalind, its AI models and tools for life sciences research, with the stated goal of helping scientists make discoveries and manage the work needed to turn them into treatments that reach patients sooner. Orchestra Bio Inc. confirmed the deal on its own website, saying it is joining OpenAI to continue its mission at an even greater scale, and thanked its customers, investors, and supporters.
