AWS Expands GPT-6 Access on Amazon Bedrock to Five Asia Pacific Regions

Amazon Web Services has opened access to OpenAI’s GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna on Amazon Bedrock through global cross-Region inference from five Asia Pacific source Regions, with GPT-6 Astra available from Asia Pacific (Singapore), the company said in an AWS Machine Learning Blog post published October 12, 2026. The post is a configuration walkthrough for teams in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Taiwan, covering how to place the call, set permissions, and monitor inference from the source Region. AWS presents the profiles as an answer to single-Region inference, which it says can throttle when demand exceeds local capacity. Three profile IDs are listed on the bedrock-runtime endpoint.

Also carried by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
